CfP: Special Issue of the Project Management Journal “Beyond the Island: The Rise of Project Ecosystems”
Guest editors Samuel MacAulay, Llewellyn D.W. Thomas, and Adrew Davies are calling for submissions to the Special Issue of the Project Management Journal on the topic “Beyond the Island: The Rise of Project Ecosystems.” They are seeking contributions that focus on how project ecosystems influence the way value is created and/or captured to drive project outcomes. Both conceptual and empirical contributions that advance our theoretical and practical understanding of project ecosystems are welcomed. 8,000-to-12,000-word submissions are due by 15 October 2026. Please see the attached CfP for more information.

RC17 mid-term conference: International Conference on Organizational Sociology
The International Conference on Organizational Sociology (ICOS) took place on March 16 and 17, 2026, at the University of Potsdam as an international RC17 mid-term conference, co-organized with several other institutions and open to all RC17 members and the broader organizational sociology community. The conference featured 59 presentations (following a number of cancellations), selected from 115 submissions, with participants from a broad international range of countries. Some cancellations were due to travel disruptions related to geopolitical developments affecting international mobility and flight availability.

We gratefully acknowledge the financial support provided by an ISA Activity Grant (€1,540). Thanks to additional contributions from the Research Group “Organization & Society” at NTNU Trondheim (€2,500), the ISA funding could be dedicated entirely to basic catering, including water, coffee and tea, as well as lunch and refreshments during breaks. Furthermore, generous travel grants from the University of Potsdam (€5,400) significantly reduced financial barriers and enabled the participation of several scholars from B and C countries, as well as students, for whom attendance was effectively cost-free.
