Support Association
RC17 is supported by a Norwegian non-profit association:
Foreningen for støtte til Research Committee “Sociology of Organizations” of the International Sociological Association
[The Association for the Support of the Research Committee “Sociology of Organizations” of the International Sociological Association]
Organisation number: 936 080 472
The Support Association is registered in the Norwegian Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities and the Norwegian Register of Non-Profit Organisations: https://virksomhet.brreg.no/en/oppslag/enheter/936080472
The association was established to provide legal, financial, and administrative support for the activities of the Research Committee “Sociology of Organizations” of the International Sociological Association.
Its purpose is to support the work, development, and visibility of the Research Committee. This includes receiving and managing financial contributions, supporting events, publications, and collaborative initiatives, and providing financial infrastructure for activities related to RC17’s goals. The association is non-profit and does not distribute any surplus to its members.
The association is closely linked to RC17. Its statutes require that all members of the association are also members of the Research Committee, and at least 50% of the association’s board members must concurrently serve on the board of the Research Committee. In addition, the financial administration of RC17 funds is regulated by a separate agreement between RC17 and the association. Under this agreement, outgoing financial transactions require prior approval by the Treasurer of RC17 or, where necessary, by another RC17 officer who is not a board member of the association.
Voluntary financial contributions
Individuals and institutions who wish to support RC17 may make a voluntary financial contribution or donation to the association. Financial Contributions help support RC17-related activities such as conferences, workshops, journal operations, publications, communication, and administrative infrastructure.
Please note that the association is not currently approved as a tax-deductible gift recipient under Norwegian tax rules. We can confirm receipt of contributions, but we cannot issue tax-deductible donation receipts.
Contribute by bank transfer
You may support RC17 by making a direct bank transfer to the support association. No prior invoice is required for voluntary contributions. Please include “Voluntary contribution to RC17” or “Donation to RC17” in the payment reference.
