ISA Webinar: Generative Artificial Intelligence in the Research Process of Scholars and Students: Tool or/and Con-Contributor?

Join us on 20 November 2025 (14:00–16:00 GMT) for an engaging webinar exploring how generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) is reshaping the research process for scholars and students alike. The session will look at how GenAI is being used in learning and social research, and discuss whether it serves purely as a research tool or is becoming a genuine co-contributor in knowledge creation. Featuring presentations and discussions from international speakers, the event invites participants to reflect on the promises and challenges of integrating GenAI into academic practice. The webinar is co-organized by researchers from several ISA Research Committees, bringing together diverse perspectives on this rapidly evolving topic. Log in to your ISA Member account at the ISA Member Portal (Benefits – Webinars) to access the live Zoom session schedule and save the session to your calendar. More details are available in the attached GenAI webinar_ISA series_description
